Director Positions

As a Director of Events, Wine and Cheese, you will be responsible for taking the lead on organizing and hosting our most prestigious event – SASA’s Wine and Cheese that concludes the busy September Recruiting Month in collaboration with our Executive Team.

  1. If you are able to prioritize and manage conflicting deadlines under pressure, have worked with a budget in the past, and able to interact with external stakeholders to complete bookings, this is a position for you!
  2. You must be available over the Summer months, as most of the planning takes place before academic year starts.
  3. Previous event planning experience is not mandatory and is considered an asset.

As a Director of Events, Bowling Night, you will be responsible for taking the lead on organizing and hosting our Annual Bowling Night that takes place in September in collaboration with our VP Events.

  1. If you are able to prioritize conflicting deadlines, manage your time well, have worked with a budget in the past, are confident in working under pressure, and able to interact with external stakeholders to complete bookings, this is a position for you!
  2. You must be available over the Summer months, as most of the planning takes place before academic year starts.

As a Director of Events, Pub n’ Pool, you will be responsible for taking the lead on organizing and hosting our Annual Pub n’ Pool Night that takes place in March in collaboration with our VP Events.

  1. If you are able to prioritize and manage your time well, have past event budgeting experience, and able to interact with external stakeholders to complete venue and catering bookings, then this is a position for you!
  2. Previous event planning experience is not mandatory and is considered an asset.

As a Director of Internal Events, Alumni Night, you will be responsible for taking the lead on organizing and hosting our Annual Alumni Night Event that takes place in February.

  1. You will work closely with our VP Internal Events, and the Sprott’s Alumni Relations Officer to put together a fantastic networking event for our Alumni and Current Students.
  2. If you are able to prioritize and manage deadlines well, have worked with a budget in the past, and are confident in working under pressure and interacting with external stakeholders to complete venue bookings, this is a position for you!
  3. Previous event planning experience is an asset.

As a Director of Internal Events, you will be responsible for taking the lead on organizing and hosting our Annual Tax Clinic that takes place in March under the supervision of the VP Internal Events.

  1. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and is able to prioritize and manage his time well to meet conflicting deadlines under pressure.
  2. Please note that this event is particularly time consuming and requires close collaboration with CRA.
  3. Previous tax clinic volunteer experience is considered an asset.

As a Director of Marketing, Social Media and Website that goes above and beyond expectations displaying initiative and willingness to learn, you will be responsible to work with our VP Marketing to carry out promotional campaigns for all SASA events.

  1. If you understand basic website maintenance and content creation, are confident in using all major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and LinkedIn), and know the basic ins-and-outs of Photoshop, this position is for you!
